They’ll plan their trip in Ayo. They’ll find you.
A stay in Mauritius is planned well before leaving. With Ayo, travellers will do it all in a single app, in French, and your place will be on their way. These are screens from the app in development; the places are examples.

They’ll explore the island, and come across you.
From Lyon, Brussels or Réunion, they’ll browse Mauritius in postcards, district by district. Your offer will be there, in your corner of the island.

The Bulbul will be able to tell them about you.
The app’s assistant will know their hotel and their days. When your place matches what they’re looking for, it’ll suggest it at the right moment, and say why.

They’ll book, and it’ll already be paid.
A free slot, a payment in euros, and it’ll be confirmed. When they arrive, you’ll scan their Ayo Code. And if you choose to offer a little extra, a cocktail or a dessert, it’ll be waiting for them.

Your place, in their plans.
My trip will keep track of their days, on Mauritius time. What they’ve booked with you will be there, in its place in the day.
Promises we’ll keep, from opening day.
Six commitments, the same for a skipper in Trou d’Eau Douce as for a table d’hôte in Chamarel.

You’re probably wondering…
How much does it cost?
No joining fee, no subscription. Ayo will keep a commission of 12 to 18% depending on your business type, included in the price shown, and only when a traveller books. Restaurants will receive a monthly invoice instead, based on the number of customers we bring them. The little extra offered to Ayo customers (a cocktail, a dessert…) is optional: it’s up to you whether to offer one or not.
I run a restaurant: how does it work?
Your menu as photos, nothing to type. Travellers will book on your WhatsApp and pay the bill at your restaurant, as usual. Ayo will send you a monthly invoice based on the number of customers we bring you, with no cut of the bill.
I’m an independent guide with no company: is that possible?
Yes, welcome. No need for an agency or a business: your phone is enough. Enter your BRN if you have one; if not, the team will talk it through with you on the call.
I’m a taxi driver: how is the price of a ride set?
No meter, no haggling on arrival. You set your pick-up fee, your price per km and your minimum fare: the price of each trip will be fixed at booking, rounded to the nearest MUR 50, and the traveller will have paid it before getting in. Full and half days with a driver, if you offer them, have their own fixed price.
What about rides I get outside Ayo?
You’ll enter them in the app: the car will be blocked, and Ayo won’t sell that time again. An Ayo ride will arrive confirmed if a car is free during your hours. Something comes up? You’ll suggest another time, same trip, same price, or cancel with a reason: the traveller will get a full refund.
How do I get paid?
The traveller will pay online, in euros, when they book. You set your price in rupees: every week, Ayo will transfer that price to you, minus the commission, in rupees, with a detailed statement in the app.
What if the traveller cancels?
Up to 24 hours before (before arrival for accommodation, before the car is collected for car hire, before pick-up for a taxi), they’ll be able to cancel free of charge: they’ll be refunded and their spot will open up for someone else. A boat trip cancelled because of the weather will always be refunded. If a customer doesn’t turn up, though, you’ll still be paid. At restaurants, nothing is paid in advance: nothing changes for you.
What if I’m not available, or the weather turns?
Your availability will be what counts: a full or closed slot won’t be bookable, so close it as soon as you fill it elsewhere. A last-minute problem, rough seas, heavy rain, a cyclone warning: you’ll close the day in one tap, and each customer will choose another slot or a full refund.
Do I have to be exclusive to Ayo?
No, there’s no exclusivity. You keep your customers, your word of mouth and your other platforms. For accommodation, your Airbnb and Booking calendars will be imported: nights booked elsewhere will close in Ayo.
How does Ayo choose its places?
On site, not on paper. Before anything goes online, the team comes to see you, discovers what you offer and goes through your declared commitments with you. It’s the places and the offers that are chosen.
I don’t have good photos.
Three are enough to start with, taken on your phone. And if you prefer, the team takes them during its visit.
Do I need a computer?
No: everything is done on your phone. And on a computer if you prefer a bigger screen, with the same account.
What language is it all in?
In French: the app, the team and the travellers Ayo will bring you. On your listing, you also add the other languages spoken at your business, English or Kreol.
